Los procesos económicos, productivos, sociales, de escala global que generan vínculos entre territorios distantes están redefiniendo la manera en que interpreamos y proyectamos los paisajes contemporáneos, determinan nuevos flujos y aportan complejidad e incertidumbre. Los cambios en las condiciones climáticas, la pérdida de biodiversidad y el crecimiento urbano son algunas de las evidencias.
Paradójicamente, durante el siglo XX se protegieron gran cantidad de áreas naturales. Éstos territorios en reserva juegan un rol fundamental al posicionarse en el sistema global. Frente a este panorama de inestabilidad y el cambio ¿cómo podrían adaptarse, conectarse y transformarse para generar sistemas resilientes?

En el desarrollo de este ensayo, se indaga sobre la interface agua-tierra, como espacios de borde en aparente fragilidad, y las dinámicas del territorio fluvial del litoral argentino.
Reconociendo posibles herramientas que, por medio de la gestión del paisaje, puedan poner en valor, proteger e incluso aumentar la adaptación y resiliencia a las dinámicas del río, donde el crecimiento de las ciudades (en muchos casos informales) presenta una marcada tendencia hacia la ocupación de estas áreas.
